1. Who we are
Harta ("we", "us", "our") is a personal AI finance assistant operated by Kawi. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hello@hartamu.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information — your email address and name when you sign in.
- Financial data you provide — balances, income sources, expense sources, and transactions that you enter manually into the app.
- Chat messages — your conversations with the Harta AI assistant, stored so you can review your history.
- Usage data — basic analytics (page views, feature usage) collected via Vercel Analytics. No personally identifiable information is attached to these events.
We do not connect to your bank, read your statements, or access any external financial accounts.
3. How we use your data
Your data is used solely to:
- Provide and personalise the Harta service for you.
- Send your messages to an AI model to generate responses (see Section 4).
- Maintain your conversation history and financial records across sessions.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-party AI provider
Harta uses a third-party AI model provider to process your chat messages and generate responses. Your messages are sent to their API. The provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle data in transit. We do not store your data on the provider's behalf beyond what is necessary to generate a response.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a hosted database. We apply standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls. No security measure is perfect; please do not enter highly sensitive information (e.g. passwords, PINs, or full account numbers) into chat.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email above.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@hartamu.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app.
